We had a very enriching session with Neelam mam. As parents of a teenager appearing for 10th boards we were very anxious. Mam helped to calm us down. She gave excellent tips to help us navigate through this tough phase. She even talked to our son to boost his confidence. She invested a lot of time in understanding our queries, guided us really well to handle the situation both emotionally and practically. Her small small tips were really helpful and we will always treasure them. Her rich academic experience and dedication to help students will benefit a lot of students. We are blessed to be in touch with her and will continue to seek her guidance.

I feel lucky to have her as my mentor, and I can honestly say that choosing her for career counseling is perhaps one of the most prudent decisions by a student. Having been the ex-Principal of DPS Pune, she has an ocean of knowledge, unmatched experience, and an insider's view of education and career counselling. But what makes her truly stand out is her special talent to reach out to students at a personal level.
When most career counselors would be listing options for the students, Ms. Chakrabarty goes a step further to find out who her students are—their strengths, interests, and even the idiosyncrasies! She is not just a guide; she
is a mentor, ensuring that each student emerges from her with clarity, confidence, and detailed guidance for their future. The advice she offers is practical and connected to individual aspirations, making it equally realistic and inspiring.
Besides her skills, it's her warmth coupled with a fantastic sense of humor that makes her so irreplaceable. Neelam Chakrabarty is a beacon of inspiration and guidance, both as an exceptional educator and a compassionate mentor. As a principal and teacher at Delhi Public School, she touched countless lives with her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering dedication. For me, she was not just a colleague but a mentor whose words continue to shape my life. Her profound advice—“Say what people want to hear, wear what people like to see, and eat what you like to eat”—is a mantra I cherish deeply.
For students, she was much more than a teacher; she was a mother offering care and comfort, a friend they could trust, and a guide who nurtured their dreams. The special bond she shared with her students is unforgettable, and her presence remains deeply missed by everyone at DPS, Pune. Personally, her absence was so impactful that I chose to take voluntary retirement after she left.

My association with DPS Pune dates back to 2007 and these years has been the busiest but most satisfying years of my life. For this, I owe a lot to the former Principal of our school Mrs Neelam Chakrabarty. To teachers like me, she has been able to motivate us to give our best… come what may and to the children she had been like a a friend , a true philosopher and guide. This line sums it all-what Ma’am has earned for herself- a service where she has devoted so much of time, thought and hard work. To reach to this level, where she is today, is a certificate that she has earned from students, parents and teachers of the school. As a teacher I could not have asked God for anyone else in her place. Her motivation, her push and above all her smile propelled us to work better for our students. Her new role is very apt for her and this comes very naturally to her. She is someone who teaches you to keep a right balance between work and play. Ma’am held a very special place in her heart for the naughty children as she knew that they would be the brightest ones once they are shown the right path. She played a pivotal role in their lives. She also stood for the academically weaker ones and tried to walk that extra mile to make sure that they don’t face any further hurdles in school life.
Her small pieces of advice can change your life and make you a better person. We were lucky that our entire school and our lives, has been enlightened by her presence and will hope that she continues to be the guiding light for the future generations too.

She has been a great leader, a superb motivator always inspiring us to achieve our best. She has been exceptionally supportive and approachable by students as well as staff. Her electrifying smile can bring a smile on anyone's face and brighyen your day. She seems to have a solution for any problem on this earth. The most important take-away from her is that we should have a POSITIVE approach for everything. She is a very innovative thinker as well and makes sure that learning is enjoyable and engaging. I have never seen a leader so passionate about every field. Be it sports, singing, art, music, event management etc. A dog lover, a nature lover. She has had a remarkable journey with DPS PUNE. Her overflowing energy is experienced by one and all. As teachers we learnt that MOTIVATION is the answer to all the problems for kids.
